Is Minecraft Dungeons 2 cross platform?

Yes. Minecraft Dungeons II supports online crossplay across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Friends on different supported devices can join the same party of up to four players.

You do not need to choose the same console as your friends. You do need the sequel on a supported device and access to online play.

Can our two devices play together?

Choose two platforms to check your online party. The table below also works without the selector.

Which platforms support crossplay?

These versions can join the same online party. Local players and remote friends share the four-player limit; two people on one couch leave room for two remote players.

Scroll the platform table sideways to see the connection requirements.

PS4, Xbox One, Mac, iOS and Android are outside the native supported-platform list. A copy of the original Minecraft Dungeons cannot join a Dungeons II party. Handheld PC players should use the separate Steam Deck support guide.

Accounts: joining a friend or moving your hero?

Each friend plays with their own account. You do not need to share a Microsoft account with your party.

Continuing your own online hero on another platform is a different task: link your platform accounts to the same Microsoft account. Online and offline play use separate modes. Read online and offline saves before switching devices or modes.

Check access before buying another copy

Crossplay describes who can join your party. It does not tell you whether a purchase includes a version from another store; check the entitlement for the device you want to use.

Online console co-op needs a platform-specific online subscription. Playing on one device instead? Couch co-op works online or offline, while mixed co-op combines local and remote players.

Your platforms match. What next?

Start online, have the party share its current eight-character code, and enter that code to join. If joining fails, check the code and available party spaces before assuming your devices are incompatible.

Follow the crossplay and party-code guide for the full joining procedure. For sign-in failures, use the account and connection troubleshooting checklist. Once everyone is in, share a gear plan with the loadout planner.
