Try low-risk steps first

  1. Restart the game and apply available updates. Note the installed build so the report can be reproduced.
  2. On Steam, open the game’s Properties, select Installed Files and choose Verify integrity of game files. Wait for verification to finish before relaunching.
  3. Reproduce the problem once with the simplest setup you can use. Record whether it happens before sign-in, during loading or in a particular action.
  4. Send the exact error, platform, input method and reproduction steps through the official bug-report link. Never include passwords or authentication codes.

Do not start by deleting your hero

Online and offline heroes are separate, and account linking matters. Read save modes before assuming your progress disappeared. A different mode or account can show a different hero without the original save being deleted.

Plan the rest of your session

Supported platforms: Compare the supported PC and console versions, native Mac and mobile availability, Steam Deck status and online multiplayer requirements.

Couch & mixed co-op: Choose local, online or mixed co-op, and check the hero account and party capacity before gathering everyone on one device.
